Ruskin to Open Plant in Ontario

With the grand opening of its Stoney Creek, Ontario, plant on April 23, Ruskin, a manufacturer of air- and sound-control products, will expand its North American production capabilities. The Stoney Creek plant increases the company’s overall capacity in Canada by complementing existing operations in Vancouver, British Columbia. more

Lochinvar Course Approved for NATE Training

Lochinvar Corp. has announced that its Knight Service School, part of the annual Lochinvar University program, has been approved for North American Technician Excellence Inc. (NATE) training. A non-profit testing organization for HVACR professions, NATE offers candidates installation and service certification programs in a range of industry categories. The service school, which instructs technicians on the installation, operation, and service of Knight wall-mount and floor-standing heating boilers, now is included among the NATE-recognized continuing-education programs. more

Air Innovations Completes ECU Projects

Air Innovations, Inc. (AI) has announced the completion of several projects requiring the company’s expertise designing and building custom environmental control units (ECUs). Two ECUs were shipped to two pharmaceutical-packaging firms that had demanding air-conditioning specifications, said AI President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Wetzel, PE. One customer needed precisely controlled conditions to provide an exact level of uniform drying for fluid bed dryers used to coat capsules, pills, and caplets. The ECU supplying air to the process tools needed to be able to add or remove humidity to maintain a 50˚F dew-point level, Wetzel explained. more
